Bio : Currently he serves as the Chairman of the New York City High-Rise Fire Safety Directors Association (FSDA), a member of the NFPA High-Rise Building Safety Advisory & 1620 Pre-Incident Planning Committees.He was the
FSDA Task Force Leader for the development of the Building Information Card & Emergency Action Plans [EAP] for high-rise buildings & a member of the NYC Building Dept. Task Force for the development of the Photo-Luminous Egress Path Marking Systems. He has served as a member of the New York City Model Buildings Program & Fire Code Technical Committees and was the Charter president of the Bergen County (NJ) Fire Chiefs Association & past president of the County Fire Prevention Association as well as a member of the Bergen County Fire Academy Board of Directors. He has published various fire service articles and authored: “RICS – Rapid Incident Command System” field handbooks; FFI & FFII Handbook /Chapter 29, Pre-Incident Planning; and Co-Authored “Bridging the Gap: Fire Safety and Green Buildings.”Jack is also a Contributing Editor with Fire Engineering, a member of the FDIC Executive Advisory Board and co-host of the FE website “Taming the Fire Environment” with Cleveland Battalion Chief Sean DeCrane.
In 2012 he received, the Fire Engineering “Tom Brennan” Lifetime Achievement Award.
